Jonathan Guzzo was born and raised in Oak Lawn, IL, where he learned the game of baseball at a very young age.Comming from a family of baseball players who played at elite levels, Jon honed his skills as a pitcher and outfielder while at Richards High School, Lewis University and professionally ….his determination and hard work paid off, earning him a spot on Lewis University’s collegiate squad where he starred as a starting left –handed pitcher and outfielder. Jon ranks as one of the top 100 strikeout leaders in the NCAA along with several other accolades.

Ryan Reynolds was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and brings over twenty years of playing and coaching experience, ranging from little league, high school and collegiate settings. Coach Reynolds excelled at the first base position, leading him to become a Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee while attending Gordon Tech on Chicago’s north side.CoachReynolds played collegiately at Lewis University and was primarily used as a first baseman and designated hitter. Ryan has a passion for hitting and developing young players into contact hitters as well as understanding the game from a hitter’s perspective.


Billy comes to Bullpen Sports as one of our winter coaches during off-season workouts. Billy has a vast knowledge of the game and will be available to work with all age groups as well as offer lesson to those who would like to spend time working on their skills. Some of Billy’s highlights include:

Jeremy was born and raised in Chicago, IL and has over 15 years of baseball experience and knowledge. Jeremy attended Gordon Tech High School where he pitched and played first base while being selectedas a Chicago Catholic League All Star and also the CCL Red Division Player of the Year. After high school, Jeremy went on to play collegiate baseball for Webster University (1 year) and Cornell College (3 years) where he was a starting pitcher. Teaching and helping pitchers is something I take pride in and have the utmost confidence in my ability to pass on what I have learned.


Mossuto became the fourth head coach in Saint Xavier University baseball history when he took over theprogram on July 1, 2014. He has a rich history with the program after playing at SXU from 1999-2002 and spending the last three seasons (2012-14) as an assistant coach. Mossuto also has a wealth of collegiate and high school coaching experience with previous stints as an assistant at former ChicagolandCollegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) rival Illinois Institute of Technology (2008-2010), Dominican University (2006-08) and Marian Catholic High School (2004-06). In 2004, Mossuto played one season overseas for the Lodi Old Rags Baseball Club out of the Italy Professional Baseball League. During his playing career as a pitcher for the Cougars, he was a two-time All CCAC selection (200 & 2002) as well as the CCAC Pitcher of the Year, a Great Lakes Region All Star and NAIA All-American Honorable Mention selection in 2002. Mossuto resides in Blue Island, IL and graduated from Saint Xavier University in 2003 with a degree in social science.

Lou Santiago was born and raised in the South Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He has accumulated many years of playing experience starting from little league, through travel ball, to high school, and then collegiately. Lou was successful enough at multiple positions to get to offers from several college programs to continue his playing career, but ultimately chose Benedictine University as his school of choice (where he pitched in both starting and relieving roles). Coach Santiago has a passion for helping kids develop all areas of their game, including their overall baseball IQ, and eventually helping them take their playing abilities to the next level.


Graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy. At JCA she was a standout volleyball, basketball, and softball player, earning 10 varsity letters. Emily went on to play softball at the University of Florida where she was a four year starting catcher/first baseman. She holds numerous records including 6 in career leader in home runs (28), RBI's (150), walks (138), and on-base percentage (.409). She is second in games started (267), third in hits (217), and third in games played (269). Her .296 batting average is fourth on Florida's all-time list.

Emily is a 2001 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Science. After graduation, Marino spent the summer of 2001 in Italy playing professional softball. She was drafted to the Professional Softball League. She then moved to Nashville, TN where she was employed at Worth Club K as a softball instructor for 3 years. From 2005 to 2015 Emily was the Head Softball Coach/ Womens Athletic Coordinator at Joliet Jr. College. Some highlights of her time at Joliet Jr. College, was two time Region Runner Up, Coach of the Year in 2006, coached 10 All- Americans, 17 All Region players, 2 MVP of Region 4, 3 NFCA catchers of the year, 1 NFCA golden spikes award, 2 NFCA Academic All Americans and 4 NJCAA Academic All Americans. Emily recently moved back to the Chicago Land pursuing a career in college athletics
